January 2021 UPDATE
In Memoriam of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh
It is with great sadness we heard of the news of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. The Committee and members of the BNRA
offer our deep condolences to the Royal Family and to an upholder of the proud culture, traditions and history of the Royal Navy.
The Duke had a long naval career and association with the Royal Navy, from midshipman in HMS Ramillies and HMS Valiant in 1940-1941 and later a Lieutenant in the
wartime years and then Commander in the post war navy and finally to Lord High Admiral in 2011.
We will be issuing a longer tribute in the next edition of the BNRA Journal
